Dreaming of that ideal summer escapade but still thinking on the moneyyou have to spend. This so called “PULO” located in Pagbilao, Quezon isthe perfect place for that summer getaway.
The place is not fully formed and the distance might not be as convenient to some unlike Boracay or Galera, but Pulo have a special flavor of their own making it worth a special destination.
If you will bring your own car, driving from Manila to Quezon is only 3 hours but if you choose to take the bus it will take you 4-5 hours depending on the route of your bus. Well, traveling that long isn’t that bad since you can have the experience in exploring the abundance province of Quezon. And since I’m from Lucena, the direction that I will give is coming from Lucena to the so called Paradise.
There are two ways to reach this unseeni sland. Basically through land and water. From the
Dalahican port you’ll have to rent a roro boat that would bring you to the island, it would only cost php500-600 for the fare. But if you are the nature type and wanting of a cost free vacation, I’ll recommend taking the land trip which the budget conscious people like me,usually prefer. It’s ideal that you rent a jeepney to reach Pagbilao and the woods that will lead you to Pulo, because if you don’t ill bet you’ll never want to do that again. For it would require lots of sun block, water, umbrella, and towel to save tons of sweat. For the reason that tripping in Pulo is just like having you’re hiking at the same time , or it offers a lot from Mother Nature.
After hours of travel from the towns of Pagbilao using the jeepney, you will still need to walk to finally get to this concealed bliss. But after all this long wait, the obstacles, the heat, the thirst, exhaustion and the excitement to see the wonderful place. Simply seeing this haven will make you forget all the hardships youve been through just to be in here.
And the only thing you would want to do is, sit under the sun, watch the waves and purely unwind. For it’s such a good feeling knowing that some place like this are still left veiled and preserved.
Since this place is undeveloped don’t expect too much from here. Including electricity, clean water to drink and stores to buy some food. You have to bring everything you need because you can’t find anything from here except the beautiful environment. There is a nearby campsite here if ever you wanted to stay for a few days since you cannot camp on the beach for preservation purposes. But even if there a lots of restrictions here you can still find your way to enjoy. You will only need your instinct of curiosity in discovering new things along with unusual kinds.
Given that the island is isolated from the main beach of the town it has mysterious caves that are enjoyable to discover. The water is also clear so you can have your own snorkeling without spending too much unlike in Boracay, Palawan or Galera the only divergence are the limited aquatic resources like the varieties of fish and corals.
It has breathtaking views that you can take picture of, the refined and white sand, nice people; fresh air and the warm water of the beach that helps you loosen up. It is indeed a hidden paradise in the heart of the forest.
Pulo in Pagbilao,Quezon may be far in distance, but endless in beauty ,so untouched and so small and intimate is this wonder of nature that it makes you wish that you could bring this environment home. My experience in Pulo is truly one of a kind. The truth is I’m not a nature lover I appreciate it only if I’ve been to it and I’ve experience it’s finest. And this adventure helps me understand and value the true beauty of nature. I just hope that it will stay as it is for the next years. Left hidden, left unknown.

I love with what you did with your blog. The pictures are nice as well--makes me wanna go visit the place too. I like the fact that it's not so commercialized. Nature kung nature. Love it.
