I went to the Muir Woods when I was 11 and never forgot it. When I had the chance, I made sure my son got to see it too.

Muir Woods National Monument in California is one of the last stands of old-growth redwood forest on Earth. Some of the redwoods are at least 1,000 years old.  I read that several scenes from “Return of the Jedi” were filmed here.
