I have the blood of heroes and martyrs…
Diokno,Tanada,Ninoy,Edjop,Chino Roces,
Andres Bonifacio,Jose Rizal,Apolinario Mabini
And countless women and men of courage.

I have gallant OFW as my brothers and sisters
Working hard in strange lands
Suffering racial abuse and job insecurity .
Countless brave men and women in distant shores .

I am proud of the new Filipino voters…
Ignoring gold ,goons and guns
Voting with conviction.
Brave men and women who cannot be bought or cowed.

I am proud of the marginalized and disadvantaged
Self-reliant and extremely patient
Despite the callousness of the powerful.
Millions of poor but proud people.
