To our North American readers, I want to pose the question of who you will be voting for. Filipinos, during the past two elections in the US have been surprisingly Republican. I say 'surprisingly' because the Democratic party has traditionally attracted immigrants, blue-collar workers, liberals, etc. One would think that the average Pinoy, coming from the Philippines or with roots from abroad would gravitate towards Democrtaic ideals. But it has not been the case.
THis time around though, I seem to sense that a lot more Filipinos are voting Democrat Barack Obama. My impression is exactly that--just an impression. I ask the question in this blog to get some sense of where my kababayans in North America are now leaning towards.
Please write me and tell me who you ae supporting--Barack or McCain, and if possible, why? Your answers should be interesting.
Thanks,
Jim Paredes

I'd support McCain. Barack looks like he has some hidden agendas....
As my boss would say that I am from Switzerland--always the neutral state. So if you ask me, this is what I have to say:
When I see Sarah Palin, I notice her hair do and the 700 dollar glasses she’s wearing
When I see Biden speak, I wonder if he will follow the footsteps of Gov. Spitzer of NY and has a client number. He is good looking and has no wife to answer . Men do have biological needs, you know. They’re also human.
When I see Obama, I look for Michelle. Then try to check on the clothes she’s wearing and wonder what department store she got her dress.
As for Obama, I think and wonder if the emails I get are all real - about his connection with the terrorist muslims and his financiers during law school days.
When I see McCain, I look for his wife and see if she is wearing those 3,000 dollar pearl necklace I read about in a social magazine, during the acceptance speech.
Only then I shift to McCain and wonder: Is he better handling the situations ORALLY or is he better at ANNALYZING it……You know what I mean, Sir Jim….But,nevertheless, am always on the winning side.
