Opposition gov sees diversion in crisis

KORONADAL CITY -- Opposition Gov. Daisy Avance-Fuentes said the rice crisis could be part of a government ploy to divert the people’s attention from the controversial ZTE broadband deal.

“Isn’t it very unusual because we in government usually keep problems like this under wraps?” said Avance-Fuentes.

“Why is the crisis being announced, it’s the reason for panic and price increases. If this was a scenario or a plot, the planners are very good. If not, the President is very lucky.”

She said people are now talking about the rice crisis instead of the ZTE scandal. Aquiles Zonio, Inquirer Mindanao

What can you say about this? Magaling ang spin doctors ng Malacañang diba? They knew bombing another mall would only backfire so they instead created a non-existent crisis. From what i know good yung supply ng bigas up to June 2008 bakit all of a sudden pati NFA rice nauubos na?

All I can say to the present government (this includes everyone in power) --- they should start getting their act together! With all that they are doing, its to only benefit their own welfare and it is NOT helping the Filipino people at all!!!!

The PR team of Malacañang is working extra hard for the past few months, and why shouldn't they?  So many issues to cover up... So many diversions to release.  Everyone knows the real deal -- we all have an idea what's going on.  We can feel it through the inflation and the price increase on various commodities.  Filipinos know well that something fishy has been going on.  It's just a shame that things aren't shaping up for the country.

Let's just all do our part and wish for the best.
